Lexus NX Key Types by Year
| Model Years | Typical Key Type |
|---|---|
| NX 2015–2018 | Proximity smart key — commonly a proximity smart key with push-button start on many trims, alongside transponder keys on base models. Programming uses the vehicle’s security system. |
| NX 2019–present | Proximity smart key / push-to-start — usually a proximity smart key with push-button start, and on some vehicles phone-as-key features. A replacement must be programmed to the car’s encrypted security system. |
Key technology varies by trim and region; call us with your exact year and VIN and we'll confirm the right key for your Lexus NX.
